Argh. Just typed a lengthy reply and it seems to have disappeared.

1. I am trying to add it through the Sonos main menu following the app's instructions (Manage >> Music Library Settings >> Add). When I select my Music folder (where iTunes, my principal music library lives), I get the message: Sonos was unable to add the Music folder. Reason: Access to the shared folder MYCOMPUTERNAMEMusic is denied. The file sharing settings are correct; it appears to be a permissions issue.

5. Irrelevent. It's file sharing permissions issue, not a device issue. I've previously tried adding Everyone to the file permissions for Music; that did not work. I also tried switching to the administrator role via the cmd prompt but it wouldn't allow me to enter a password for the administrator (it said that my password was insufficient), which suggests that the problem is that I don't have administrator privileges when I log on with my Microsoft account. I think that's what I need help with -- I'm new to Windows 10.
